	A Special Valentine's Event “Handkerchiefs: The Artful Little Squares of History” presented by Terese Blanding Sunday Feb 12 , 2012 at 2 pm Marketplace 3301 @ 3301 1st Ave. North, Billings, MT Come join your friends for a fascinating look at the handkerchief's role in history and in the world of opera. We will be serving a variety of juices, afternoon tea and coffee with delightful desserts. April 29, 3:00 PM The Crucible.  The Crucible is an English language opera written by Robert Ward based on the play The Crucible by Arthur Miller. It won both the 1962 Pulitzer Prize for Music and the New York Music Critics Circle Citation. The libretto was lightly adapted from Miller's text by Bernard Stambler. Ward received a commission from the New York City Opera to write the opera. Arthur Miller was involved in selecting Ward. The opera won both the 1962 Pulitzer Prize for Music and the New York Music Critics Circle Citation. It is one of the most performed operas by an American composer.. More info		Rimrock Opera presents its annual spring fundraiser, OperaFest, scheduled for Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Yellowstone Country Club, 5707 Bobby Jones Blvd. in Billings, Mont. OperaFest offers an upscale silent auction, fine dining, music and a delightful evening of live opera entertainment. Festivities begin at 6 p.m. with hors d'oeuvres and no-host cocktails, followed by a gourmet dinner with select wines. Attire is as formal as the guest wishes. A highlight of the evening will be performances from the artists of the upcoming opera, "The Crucible." Proceeds from OperaFest directly offset costs of the main stage productions.
