'Nutcracker' provides memorable
1st chance for performers
It's one of the final rehearsals
before "The Nutcracker Ballet" opens
at the Alberta Bair Theater, and the
School of Classical Ballet is a blur
of pony tails and pink tights.
In the second hour of rehearsal
for the fifth- through eighth-grade
dancers, there is no sign that it's
coming to an end.

Wearing matching T-shirts, they
earnestly belt out the lyrics to a

"Neighbor to neighbor, father to

great performance
What a delightful Sunday
afternoon it turned out to be.
Rimrock Opera's performance of
"Die Fledermaus" was full of humor
and talent on both the stage and in
the orchestra pit. The local talent
is amazing, and the Chorus for Kids
is indicative of what the future
holds for the opera stage. "Brava
Diva" to all who participated.
