THE CRUCIBLE AUDITIONS

The Rimrock Opera (RO) announces auditions that take place on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 between 7-9 PM and Thursday, January 12 between 7-9 PM. The auditions are held at Shiloh Grand Center, 1780 Shiloh Road, Unit D, Billings (strip mall with Subway Sandwiches). RO's Artistic Team of Doug Nagel and Daren Small is seeking singers for open positions as chorus members for The Crucible by Ward (sung in English) performed on April 28 & April 29, 2012. Some of the chorus parts have character names and are in small ensembles. Rimrock Opera's staff pianist Sandi Rabas will accompany all auditioners.

We have chosen a singable shaker tune from the production. The more prepared you learn the music, the better your chances of getting cast!

The Rimrock Opera of Billings, Montana, produces two fully-staged operatic productions yearly at the Alberta Bair Theater. Each opera is accompanied by full orchestra, with sets, costumes, make-up and lights--a professional production. Chorus members are a volunteer position, but receive complimentary vouchers to the performances. Once the positions have been filled, singers receive a complete rehearsal schedule and all of the music you will learn. Musical rehearsal for the chorus are typically twice a week for the two months prior to the production. Staging rehearsals for "The Crucible" begins April 2, 2012 and are typically four or five days of a week nights, which will include weekends (no daytime weekday rehearsals).
