OperaFest boasts upscale auction items, fine dining and musicRimrock Opera Company's OperaFest is scheduled for March 10 at the Yellowstone Country Club, 5707 Bobby Jones Blvd. in Billings.

Master of ceremonies will be Rimrock Opera's Artistic Director, Douglas Nagel.

The event features fine dining, music and live opera entertainment. Guests will step into a romantic Italian theme evoking the company's next opera, Mozart's "Cosi fan tutte." Proceeds from OperaFest directly offset costs of the main stage productions.

Festivities begin at 6 p.m. with hors d'oeuvres and no-host cocktails, followed by a Neapolitan-style gourmet dinner with select Italian wines. Attire is as formal as the guest wishes. A highlight of the evening will be performances from the artists of the upcoming "Cosi fan tutte."

A wide selection of silent auction items are available for the guests. Live auction items for the night includefive major packages:

A gourmet dinner prepared by Executive Chef Laurent Zirotti of Enzo Mediterranean Bistro for a party of eight held at a private home. This event features entertainment by stars of Rimrock Opera.

An African Photo Safari at the famous Zulu Nyala game reserve with six day/six night accommodations for two people at an international standard four-star Safari Lodge.

OperaFest's live auction jewelry item is an exquisitely designed diamond pendant set in palladium, donated by Montague's Jewelers.

Gene Rockman Associates has donated a leather Barcolounger recliner and delivery to the winning bidder's home.

Wine, appetizers and music for 30 guests - hosted by City Vineyard and Tom Nelson Catering. This outstanding event boasts fabulous hors d'oeuvres with selections of wines for 30 guests, featuring entertainment by the Rimrock Opera.

Tickets are also on sale for "Cosi fan tutte" at the Alberta Bair Theater Box Office, by calling 256-6052, or by visiting the Rimrock Opera Web site.

Ticket prices range from $21 to $46, including some student pricing. Performance dates are March 23 at 7:30 p.m. and March 25 at 2 p.m.

OPERAFEST- Rimrock Opera's premiere spring fundraising event has been described as "Triple E: Elegant, electric, energizing." by Ed Harris, composer, retired Rimrock Opera adult chorus master and opera star.

Rimrock Opera Company's OperaFest is held each March utilizing international and national opera stars that are appearing in Rimrock Opera Company's spring main stage production.

OperaFest is held at the Yellowstone Country Club, 5707 Bobby Jones Blvd., Billings. Master of Ceremonies is Rimrock Opera’s Artistic Director Douglas Nagel.

The event features fine dining, music and live opera entertainment. Guests step into a romantic theme reflecting the company's spring opera theme.

Festivities begin at 6 p.m. with hors d'oeuvres and no-host cocktails, followed by a gourmet dinner with select wines. Attire is as formal as the guest wishes. A highlight of the evening will be performances from the international and national opera community who are artists of the upcoming opera.

OperaFest has many tables of silent auction items provided by area merchants and one of a kind items including artwork donated by board members.

Live auction items are another highlight of the evening.

Examples of live auction items have been:

An African Photo Safari at the famous Zulu Nyala game reserve with 6 day/ 6 night accommodations for 2 persons at an international standard four-star Safari Lodge.

A gourmet cooking class by French Executive Chef Laurent Zirotti of Enzo Mediterranean Bistro for a party of eight held in the winner’s home.

A returning favorite from last year’s auction is a City Vineyard Wine Tasting and Hors d’oeuvres party for twenty guests, featuring entertainment by the Rimrock Opera.

Live auction jewelry item is an exquisitely designed piece donated by Montague’s Jewelers.

Gene Rockman Associates has donated a Drexel Heritage Sofa beautifully upholstered in rich tapestry in golds and greens that includes two pillows, and delivery to the winning bidder’s home.

The last item is a fabulous gourmet dinner for eight prepared by a local award winning chef and served by Rimrock Opera Board members. Live dinner entertainment will be provided by the star cast of Rimrock Opera.
