Scott Martinez, bass (Marquis) graduated from Northwest Community College in Powell, Wyoming in 1997, with an Associate of Arts degree. While there he participated in the jazz groups, Studio Singers and LA14, as well as the classical groups Collegiate Chorale and Vocal Ensemble. Mr. Martinez continued his education at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, where he sang in the Concert Choir, Vocal Jazz I, and the Axidentals. Also at UNC he played the Sergeant of Customs in La bohème. While living in Seattle, he sang with the Seattle Symphony Chorale. Mr. Martinez is planning to resume his education in Vocal Performance at MSU-Billings in the spring of 2006. The role of Marquis d' Obigny marks Mr. Martinez’s debut with Rimrock Opera.
