About Margaret Kimball
Margaret was born into a household filled with classical and operatic music. At a very young age she developed into an avid reader, following her mother around saying "read me!" She graduated from High School as valedictorian, and received college degrees in Chemistry and Physics. Women were not readily accepted in the work place in these fields at the time, so she shifted to Education. She taught school for 35 years, the latter years as a Special Education teacher at the high school level. She always loved opera music and her CD collection was enormous. Even living in a small town, she was able to listen to the Metropolitan Opera Saturday broadcasts. In her later years, she was finally introduced to live opera performances. Though she could not see because of macular degeneration, she "never missed a beat". |
